Please also read the entire post, I think she brings up a valid point--many people are now more impressed by electronic media than books. I find this sad myself--we are too quick to look outwardly for entertainment, too eager to let someone else feed us what we want to hear. Reading makes us use our brains. I personally find electronic media (movies, TV) distracting. I like to back up, reread a phrase I didn't understand correctly the first time. When I hear snatches here and there, I don't always get the whole story. Very unsettling. But that's just me. I do think if Christians are going to attract our young adults coming up as the next generation of leaders, we need to put Christ's story out there--but we also need to be careful in how we present it. We need to be rooted in scripture and have the Holy Spirit help us to have ready answers for the inevitable questions.
