Winter here is cold. Out in the open, blustering wind blowing us through our doors to warmth. I find some comfort in watching small creatures that forage in our backyard, feasting on seeds my husband tosses on our patio. Sparrows and occasionally finches battle at the feeder outside my kitchen window. Yet as I ponder how and where to start, I remember Jesus' words to the disciples about not worrying about life, or clothes, or food: "Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" (Luke 12: 24-26, NIV) Ouch! Worry has been my middle name. It is time to prioritize my thoughts and focus more on Him. Starting now. I have read so many wonderful blogs and think, "I can't possibly..." Wait a minute. Yes, Lord, I know. Quit worrying. You've placed this on my heart for a reason. Thank you. Here goes.
